When Trúc Hổ and Diệu Quyên arrived in the United States as refugees from Vietnam in the 1970s, they had to rebuild their lives—but they didn't leave the Vietnamese culture they loved behind. The musician and broadcaster retained close ties to their home country and to others who went through the refugee resettlement experience, as well as the communities that welcomed them. And when Afghan and Ukrainian refugees began arriving in 2021 and 2022, they knew they wanted to pay it forward.
