Stand with refugees.
With the election decided, we know mass deportations and an end to refugee resettlement may be ahead. Help us protect families now!

Global Refuge (formerly Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service) is proud to announce the launch of our tenth-annual Hope for the Holidays™ program, collecting cards and sharing holiday hope with newcomers in the United States. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Hope for the Holidays, some of you may have received a Hope for the Holidays card in the mail. This is part of a special Hope for the Holidays appeal that has been sent to donors as a thank you for their support. If you are sending one of the donor cards, please mail them by October 31st to ensure the cards are received by our Children and Family Services team to distribute to clients.
We also encourage you to gather your church or community group as you have for these last 10 years following the instructions in the Hope for the Holidays Toolkit. Group cards can be submitted anytime between October 31-December 2!
Last year, volunteers distributed thousands of cards to immigrant families across the country. Thank you for sharing hope and joy with some of our newest neighbors this holiday season.

Once you write and decorate holiday cards for newcomers using the Hope for the Holidays™ toolkit, submit your electronic coversheet to receive information on where to send your cards. And be sure to share about Hope for the Holidays™ on social media and download a flyer to post in your community.
Your gift can make a difference this holiday season in supporting this program and so many others as we seek to build a more welcoming world.
