My name is David Byers and I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in May of 2011. I studied Cross-Cultural Studies and I am very passionate about learning from other cultures and interacting with them. Specifically I have a passion for Southeast Asia and the people of Burma and Thailand. In 2008 I had the opportunity to go to Thailand and I fell in love with it. In 2009 I went with GRI and then led a group of students in 2011.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to go again with GRI to be a part of the medic training that takes place along the Thailand/Burma border. I hope to return soon because I love what is happening there through GRI and I love seeing God work in the lives of the people. I hope to share a little bit of Thai and Shan culture with all of my friends and followers as I go on this journey and new experience for me!
